Perfect for a simple dessert when you just need “a little something.” Try it over warm gingerbread or apple dumplings for a comforting treat.

Ingredient List

  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup Mountain High® original or lowfat vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Dash of ground nutmeg

Preparation

  1. Combine 2 tablespoons of the sugar with the egg yolks in a small bowl; beat well with fork.
  2. In a 1-quart saucepan over low heat, Mix milk, butter and remaining 1 tablespoon sugar. Heat just to boiling, stirring frequently. Blend a small amount of hot milk mixture into egg yolks. Blend yolk mixture into milk in saucepan; cook over medium-low heat about 12 minutes or until sauce thickens and coats a spoon, stirring constantly. DO NOT BOIL.
  3. Whisk in yoghurt, vanilla, and nutmeg until smooth. Cook, stirring occasionally, just until warm. Serve immediately over fresh berries or cake.
