An easy side dish to whip up for a picnic or cookout. Look for coleslaw mix (a blend of shredded red and green cabbage and carrots) in the produce aisle near the packaged salads.

Ingredient List

  • 1 bag (16 oz) coleslaw mix (shredded cabbage and carrots)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup Mountain High® original, lowfat or fat free plain yoghurt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Preparation

  1. Combine coleslaw mix and onion in a large bowl; set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients until smooth. Pour mixture over the coleslaw and onion; toss to combine well.
  3. Cover and chill for at least 1 hour before serving to blend flavors. Toss again just before serving. Cover and refrigerate any leftovers.
