Made with yoghurt, these cookies have a big reduction in fat from regular chocolate chip cookies. The cake-like texture makes them a great cookie to dip into coffee or hot chocolate. Yum!

Ingredient List

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup from 1 tub Mountain High™ Original Plain Whole Milk Yoghurt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. In a large bowl, mix butter and sugars on medium speed about 2 minutes, scraping bowl frequently. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each one. Add yoghurt and vanilla and mix on low speed until just blended, scraping bowl frequently.
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl; add to the sugar mixture on low speed, scraping bowl occasionally, just until mixed. Stir in chocolate chips.
  3. Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls (about 3 tablespoons) 3-inches apart on lightly-greased cookie sheet. Press dough, with fingers lightly dusted with flour, into 3-inch rounds.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 to 18 minutes, until edges are golden brown. Remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Serve warm or cool.

Tips

  • Feel free to use Mountain High™ Plain Low Fat Yoghurt instead of Mountain High™ Original Plain Whole Milk Yoghurt, if you'd like.
